At Jamo Capital, we’re on a mission to acquire and nurture one standout American business for the future.

Who we are

Manoli Giamas founded Jamo Capital to fulfill his lifelong goal and purpose: to own and lead a strong American business.

Manoli is ready to roll up his sleeves and dive in headfirst, taking on day-to-day operations and giving 100% of his energy and time to growing the company.

Backed by his partners at Jamo, who bring years of hands-on experience in running and scaling small businesses, he’s fully committed to preserving what makes your business special—from the legacy you've built, to the people and customers who rely on it every day.

Meet Manoli

A little about me.

I grew up in a tight-knit family in Athens, Greece, where curiosity was my superpower. From a young age, you’d find me in my dad's garage, eagerly disassembling things just to figure out how they worked— from power tools to appliances, even the family car! As I got older, my attention shifted to businesses, eager to understand what made different companies tick.

That curiosity took me to King’s College London, where I majored in Finance, and then to Deloitte for a role in Financial Advisory. Soon after, however, I couldn’t resist the pull of New York where I worked in Investment Banking, focusing on the lower-middle market. After four years in finance, it was time to scratch my entrepreneurial itch, so I joined an early-stage legal-tech startup where I oversaw product and business development. Eager to build my network in the U.S. and advance my learning, I moved back to New York to pursue my MBA at Columbia Business School— that’s where Jamo Capital was born!

Giving back has always been a core part of who I am. For over a decade, I manned shifts as a volunteer firefighter at my local fire station during the summer wildfire season, working alongside people from all walks of life, all united by a shared mission: to protect and serve our community. I believe deeply in paying it forward — offering support, kindness, and care, just as so many others have done for me along my journey.

Today, I live in New York with my fiancé, Nikki, and our energetic pomski, Jax. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me out on the soccer field or up in the sky, training for my pilot’s license, always chasing something new to learn.

As a first-generation immigrant, I carry with me the spirit of the American Dream — a deep belief that with hard work, determination, and heart, anything is possible.

I’m excited to bring that same drive and passion to the business I acquire, honoring the legacy built by someone who’s poured their heart and soul into it, and taking it to even greater heights.

What's the story behind our name?

Manoli chose the name Jamo Capital as an homage to his grandparents’ business, Jamas Milling Co. Ltd. The entrepreneurial spirit runs deeply in Manoli's family, with his parents and grandparents playing a profound role in shaping his journey and fueling his ambition to buy a business. Their hard work is what afforded Manoli the opportunities he’s had in life.

When newlywed, his grandfather (also named Manoli!) and grandmother settled in Northern Rhodesia (modern-day Zambia), opened a shop and through years of hard work grew it into a local grocery store chain. They used their nest egg to open a state-of-the-art milling company that produced animal feed and mielie meal, a coarse flour made from maize. The “Jamo Brand” meal became, and remains, a staple in Zambia. And despite the business not being owned by Manoli’s family anymore, its legacy and the quality it stood for live on to this day, over 50 years later.

Jamo Capital commits to having the same outcome for the business it acquires. To provide continuity and preserve its legacy for generations to come.
